Bio
Nik Shaw is a Los Angeles-based content creator, producer, and creative director who crafts engaging narrative content that seamlessly integrates strategic brand messaging and effectively connects with targeted communities, boosting a brand's online presence. Nik began his career on film sets, working on over 300 film, commercial, and music video productions across various departments. His experience includes roles such as gaffer, electric, gimbal operator, and first and second camera assistant, as well as drone operator. As his career progressed, he assumed more creative roles, including producer, cinematographer, content writer/creator, director, and editor. He has served as a cinematographer in various locations throughout the US, as well as in Denmark, Scotland, Thailand, Puerto Rico, and Spain.
His creative and producing work with Re:Anime gave him the unique opportunity to create thirty short films that interpreted Japanese anime into live action. Here he collaborated with a wide range of creative talent, including set and sound designers, VFX artists, fight choreographers, editors, composers, makeup artists and more. His experience leading teams of 20 to 70 people honed his producing and management skills, enabling him to deliver high-quality content across various media platforms on time and on budget.
Nik's expertise in social media content and audience development was demonstrated at Re:Anime, where he achieved over 1,200,000 subscribers on YouTube, 300,000 followers on TikTok, and 50,000 followers on Instagram.
Nik has also pursued and negotiated brand deals and created online content for those brands including EA Games, NordVPN, CoolShirtz, Slunks, Flex CBD, Manscaped, Gershin Impact, Express VPN, Jackery Portable Solar Power, One Punch Man Mobile games, Raid Shadow Legends. Separately, Nik has created content for Litheli Battery Powered Tools, Vecnos 360 Camera, American Volleyball Professionals (AVP) and others.
When he’s not creating, Nik is an avid California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) rated player and organizes weekend beach volleyball tournaments year-round in Santa Monica, California under the Highline banner.
